Halloween Fun

Three Little Pumpkins
Logan finds a seed.Owen and his boat load of candy!
Our neighbors' pumpkins! Gross!
Our three little trick or treaters.

Hope everyone had a great halloween. We always have such a fun time - carving pumpkins and trick or treating. The kids really helped a lot this year with their pumpkins. Emma did hers all by herself. We went trick or treating around the block tonight. Of course, right when we were half way, Logan had to go to the bathroom. We tried to head back home, but we had to stop at every house along the way. He went to the doors, holding himself, but by golly...he got his candy!!! Hope you all had a fun night! Happy Halloween!

More Birthday Fun

Logan had fun making his cupcakes for Ms. Beth's. Good thing he was feeling better.

Almost all of his presents were Indiana Jones stuff. The boy is obsessed and we just fuel his obsession. Not good!

Four Years Ago

It is hard to believe that four years ago, Little Logan had entered the world. I was just looking back on pictures from that day. In a way it seems like forever ago, in another way it seems like just yesterday. Nobody could have ever prepared me for the joys of motherhood and the pain of watching them grow up too fast! Happy Birthday Baby!

Halloween Party

The Sack Race
Dorothy Tyler and Owen...so spooky!
Owen's interesting costume
The cutest little monkey ever - Nolan!

Owen - pumpkin bowling.

Every year, my friend Emily and I take turns having a halloween party. It's always fun to watch the kids play games and eat delicious food - not to mention - we get another day to wear those halloween costumes. Unfortunately, Logan was sick and unable to go. Poor baby - started with a fever last night and it continued into today. I'm staying home with him tomorrow - he can't be sick on his birthday, but Mommy will be happy to stay with him and give him a little TLC.

Anyways, Emma and Owen had a great time at the Machis. They had a sack race, painted a pumpkin box, played several games - including bowling with a real pumpkin, and a pinata. Our kids are getting so big - I just hope they enjoy these parties for many years to come, because the parents sure do!

Little Indy's Birthday Party

Logan had his fourth birthday party at the swimming pool today. Although only half of his family could make it, I think he still had a great time. The kids basically had the pool to themselves. It was hard to get them to come out for cake and ice cream. It was the most relaxing party that we've ever had. Logan was just excited to have his friends Alex and Gracie, and his cousins Maisie and Connor. It was a small party, but a nice one. Enjoy the pictures!

I couldn't resist this Charlie Brown shirt!

A Little of This...A Little of That

Just a few photos from the past week. Owen's soccer team finally won a game!!! His team is being coached by a teenager and he hasn't had the best experience. It is amazing how money can motivate that kid!! Jonathan told him that he would pay him $5 if he scored a goal...within five minutes, he scored a goal! It was quite funny. It was nice that they finally won a game.
Emma finished her swimming lessons. She came a long way in a few weeks. I was a little worried when her swimming teacher wanted to talk to me. She wasn't going to pass her to Level 3, but she said she changed her mind after watching her tonight. Thank goodness...I don't know how Emma would have taken that. We'll be signing the boys up for the next session. It was a good experience.

Lastly, I've included a few pictures of Logan and his pumpkin. He and I carved it while Owen, Emma, and Daddy were at the pumpkin patch with boy scouts. He certainly does love Indy!

Enjoy the rest of your week!

School Board Meeting

I did something the other night that I thought I would never do. I got up in front of 200 plus people and spoke directly to the school board. It was a public hearing meeting where the school board listened to public comment about the closing of the schools. I had prepared a speech - just in case I felt the need to speak. Well, I did feel the need and I got up there. I did fine until I got to the last paragraph and then I did what I always do...I cried! Somehow I got through it. This is such an emotional subject...I can not imagine not having my school anymore. The school board is scheduled to make a decison at the October 28th board meeting. I will keep you posted.

The following link is a news report that was taped at our school last Thursday.

Jonathan is sick!

No, no, he's not ill physically...just mentally! For those of you who may not know...my husband has a basement full of Star Wars stuff. When I say full, I mean you can't hardly walk down there. His collection includes two huge arcade games, toys, figures, clothes, and almost anything that you can imagine with the Star Wars logo. I have always been supportive (well...most of the time), but now his hobby has him collecting Lunchables. The other night he came home with a stack of these things. My children are tired of eating them and run away screaming every time they see him bring more home! Check out this picture....do you think he needs help?!?

Another Pumpkin Patch Visit

Logan and his girl Maddie!
Logan had fun being an only child for the day.
Learning about pumpkins - pretending to be seeds.
What a stud...a girl on each side!
Daddy and Logan
Group Shot- it's the best we could do.
Another attempt
Whoa...Indy is so strong!
Check out his whip...he found a piece of twine and rolled it up like Indy's whip!
Logan had his annual field trip to the pumpkin patch with Ms. Beth today. It's always a favorite field trip of mine. Daddy even took off work and went with us. Unfortunately it rained all morning, but we still had a good time. Logan is the only boy, so it was funny to see how he interacted with all of the girls. He's quite the lady's man! But, his one true love is little Madeline - and are they ever cute together! Jonathan is now at the pumpkin patch, yet again, with Owen's cub scout troop. They should be returning home soon.
