Thankfully...soccer season ends!

Have I mentioned what a terrible soccer season Owen has had? He had a teenager coaching his team this season. I thought wow, what a nice thing to do-volunteer and teach kids about soccer. None of the parents stood up to take over, so we couldn't really say anything. Well, now that the season is over, I am going to say something!!! Owen's poor team did not learn a thing this year. I don't know much about soccer, but I do know that you put the kids in a postiion. These kids just ran around the field wherever they pleased. In Owen's league, there are no goalies. Well on Owen's team, there were two or three kids in the goal at a time - and we still lost every game! They played hard, but never won. The coach would show up late for practice every week and we were lucky if she showed up for games. Sometimes she would send out an email the day of a game, telling us that she wouldn't be there. Luckily a lot of the parents stood up and stepped in. (I even started a few practices...scary!) The boys had their last game on Saturday. Our coach showed up wearing pajama pants and red, fuzzy slippers!!! She looked ridiculous. I was so embarassed watching her run up and down the field chasing the kids in her pajamas. Anyways, it was quite a season. So tonight, we had the perfect ending with our end of the season party. Owen started out with a migraine (which seems to be a common occurence these days). We get to CiCi's and there is a spirit night, and two other teams having end of the year parties. It was so loud and so crowded - and true to form - our coach didn't even come! We all laughed - it was so typical of the season. Anyways, poor Owen didn't eat a thing. He came home and went straight to bed. I think he'll be trying baseball in the spring!

Emma's Haircut

Emma has been wanting to get her haircut for the past few weeks. I finally caved yesterday and let her do it. I had told her she needed to keep it long for her Dorothy costume, but since Halloween is over, she went and did it. So here she is.

Halloween Fun

Three Little Pumpkins
Logan finds a seed.Owen and his boat load of candy!
Our neighbors' pumpkins! Gross!
Our three little trick or treaters.

Hope everyone had a great halloween. We always have such a fun time - carving pumpkins and trick or treating. The kids really helped a lot this year with their pumpkins. Emma did hers all by herself. We went trick or treating around the block tonight. Of course, right when we were half way, Logan had to go to the bathroom. We tried to head back home, but we had to stop at every house along the way. He went to the doors, holding himself, but by golly...he got his candy!!! Hope you all had a fun night! Happy Halloween!

More Birthday Fun

Logan had fun making his cupcakes for Ms. Beth's. Good thing he was feeling better.

Almost all of his presents were Indiana Jones stuff. The boy is obsessed and we just fuel his obsession. Not good!

Four Years Ago

It is hard to believe that four years ago, Little Logan had entered the world. I was just looking back on pictures from that day. In a way it seems like forever ago, in another way it seems like just yesterday. Nobody could have ever prepared me for the joys of motherhood and the pain of watching them grow up too fast! Happy Birthday Baby!

Halloween Party

The Sack Race
Dorothy Tyler and Owen...so spooky!
Owen's interesting costume
The cutest little monkey ever - Nolan!

Owen - pumpkin bowling.

Every year, my friend Emily and I take turns having a halloween party. It's always fun to watch the kids play games and eat delicious food - not to mention - we get another day to wear those halloween costumes. Unfortunately, Logan was sick and unable to go. Poor baby - started with a fever last night and it continued into today. I'm staying home with him tomorrow - he can't be sick on his birthday, but Mommy will be happy to stay with him and give him a little TLC.

Anyways, Emma and Owen had a great time at the Machis. They had a sack race, painted a pumpkin box, played several games - including bowling with a real pumpkin, and a pinata. Our kids are getting so big - I just hope they enjoy these parties for many years to come, because the parents sure do!

Little Indy's Birthday Party

Logan had his fourth birthday party at the swimming pool today. Although only half of his family could make it, I think he still had a great time. The kids basically had the pool to themselves. It was hard to get them to come out for cake and ice cream. It was the most relaxing party that we've ever had. Logan was just excited to have his friends Alex and Gracie, and his cousins Maisie and Connor. It was a small party, but a nice one. Enjoy the pictures!

I couldn't resist this Charlie Brown shirt!
